Specialized transshipment activities by means of newly built transshipment facility in the Port of Bratislava in the estuary of the port basin Pálenisko using technology being unique in the Slovak Republic, guaranting minimizing the risk of oil spills and maximizing the level of operation safety.
The transshipment of mineral oils (fuel oil and petrol) in export mode – loading of river tank barges by means of two transshipment platforms for transshipment of fuel oil as well on one platform for transshipment of petrol.
The operation has been carried out by means of he most modern technology of liquid cargo transshipment jibs equipped by closing tear-off device for he case of accidental tearing off the vessel from the platform, by technology hindering overfilling the vessel, pumps emergency stop in case of various dangerous situations, as well as an automatic bubble barrier and retractable oil-spill barrier protecting the Danube and the Small Danube from any accidental oil spills.
The transshipment capacities are as follows:
- Fuel oil up to 500 m3/hour
- Petrol up to 200 m3/hour
